Windsor

Windsor is Connecticuts first English settlement, a population of approximate 28,237. The town is governed under the Council Manager form of  government. The Town Council elects a Mayor and also  appoints the Town Manager. R.I.S.E. is an after school program for both elementary and middle school students, grades 1-5 and 6-8. R.I.S.E. after school program offers friends, sports and games, arts and crafts and more. Windsor has one High School, one Middle School and several elementary schools.The Montessori School in the town of Windsor originated in 1986. The student body range from 18 month through 6 years. Loomis Chaffee is one of the nations leading boarding schools. It's student body is  international. It offers a number of interscholastic sports and many extracurricular organizations. Windsor has two public swimming pools and ten parks.The center of Windsor is pedestrian friendly, with many restaurant. There are two major Barbecue restaurant! Windsor is warm and quaint.
